Leadership & Management – Yum! Restaurants International
In
1992 KFC & Pizza Hut Restaurants (now part of Yum! International Restaurants
www.yum.com
KFC Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver) introduced a Leadership Development
Programme (LDP) to develop their regional managers. For more than 10 years,
Yum! International Restaurants, has engaged AC to conduct at least three
of these programmes per year every year.
The LDP is positioned as a High Achievers programme, for managers and
“up and coming” people in the organisation. Each year there
is a waiting list to get on the LDP, and this has created a positive reward
for those who are proactive achievers in Yum!

The programme is 4.5 days starting on a Sunday, finishing on Thursday,
staying in a guesthouse in the Southern Highlands NSW. A senior member
of the HR team opens the programme then departs and returns on Thursday
to hear the SMART action plans presented by the 14 participants. The LDP
consists of indoor facilitation of problem solving, decision making and
communication models, 360 degree profiles, leadership and management skills,
interpersonal skills, and outdoor experiential learning activities.
“The
LDP is the highest rating development programme Yum! International provides”.
